Mount Meru Game Lodge is a charming lodge on the outskirts of Arusha, well placed for the airport at Kilimanjaro and heading off on your first day’s safari. The Lodge has its own on-site wildlife sanctuary providing guests with a suitably atmospheric start to their trip.
Mount Meru Game Lodge is a traditional style dwelling, established in 1959 by by Dr Andreas Von Nagy, a wildlife enthusiast and collector. The lodge continues to be run by the family and offers an extremely comfortable start (or end) to a safari holiday.
The lodge is made up of 17 rooms in bungalows dotted around the grounds with ensuite facilities and all necessary comforts. The central mess area comprises dining area and bar, communal lounge and terrace overlooking the gardens and views to the wildlife sanctuary.
