Uroa Bay Beach Resort

An Italian managed resort style hotel lying directly on a private beach overlooking the crystal clear seas of the Indian Ocean.

There are 97 rooms, all with double bed (king size) and all sea view, private furnished terrace, decorated in local style, with mosquito nets on the beds; the rooms all have private bathroom, air conditioning, ceiling fan, safe, minibar, television, telephone and internet connection.   In 24 rooms there is also a third bed used otherwise as sofa.

The main structure consists of a huge makuti, which dominates the reception, the whole area of common services, continues over the bar and restaurant on the ends, just a few steps from the beach. The restaurant is very spacious and can comfortably accommodate 150 people. All the pillars and beams of this structure are adorned with decorations and lights in local style.

Two the bars, one still under the makuti, Bar Rafiki, near the restaurant, the other positioned between the pool and beach, Bar Pwani, this one also in makuti, with the possibility of dinners of lobster. Breakfast, lunch and dinner with buffet service at the central restaurant, Restaurant Jua.

There are two pools, one for children and another with deeper water, within which are included also massage jets. Both pools have fresh water (no salt water).  A wooden bridge connects the two sides of the pool with a pool bar lying adjacent.

Guests also can play football games 5 vs. 5 in the football court in white sand of the village.

This is a lively, low cost resort hotel on a lovely beach. The flexible accommodation makes it suitable for larger families with young children looking for some beach time. Nothing fancy, but good value for what it offers.
