Klein’s Camp is perched on the edge of the Kuka Hills within an exclusive concession area in Loliondo that borders both the Serengeti and Maasai Mara.
The Great Migration passes through this area southwards during October and November whilst there is excellent resident big game throughout the year. A major advantage of the wilderness concession is the exclusive game viewing, walking safari and night drive options.
The lounge area opens up to breathtaking panoramas of the valley, with stone floors, deep leather armchairs, classic African memorabilia and open fireplaces. Fine linen, silver and china sparkle in the candlelight of the open dining area although we found the atmosphere to be more relaxed than formal.
The ten thatched stone cottages with whitewashed walls and rich wooden floors, combine with soft cream furnishings. However the main inspiration comes from the natural backdrop of the valley below so it is important to take the opportunity to relax on your private veranda with a pair of binoculars and enjoy the passing wildlife.
Like all of the & Beyond (CC Africa) lodges, the level of luxury and service are very good. This is a really excellent choice for “top end” customers who would prefer a lodge rather than a tented camp.
