Carana Beach is a relaxed and stylish boutique resort enviably positioned on a sheltered bay on Mahe. Wonderful for a post safari beach stay and perfect for couples.
Carana Beach has quickly become one of our favourite beach hotels in the Seychelles. It is peaceful, stylish and located on a beautiful empty beach, complete with granitic boulders and swaying palms.
The chalets are all located around the bay on the gentle lush hillside, and all offer great views to the sea. Each chalet is modern but subtly decked out with cool earth tones, modern amenities and spacious deck areas. There are also Pool Chalets with extra outside space and a plunge pool, which work very well for honeymoons.
The main hotel area is very nicely done, again with well thought out interiors all created to frame the vibrant colours of the wild natural environment. The restaurant, Lorision is open to both hotel guests and the public and is fast gaining an excellent reputation on the island. There is also a bar which offers snacks and beach service.
The Sens Spa does all the usual massage treatments, plus a more extensive range which you can enjoy in the comfort of your chalet.
This impressive little resort consistently delivers for us – it keeps things personal without a hefty price tag. There are some very good offers too, for honeymoon couples, for booking early and for combination stays with Denis Private Island.
