Zanzibar Queen

Zanzibar Queen lies on the stunning Matemwe Beach, on the north east of Zanzibar, one of the island’s best beaches.  The hotel centres around a large kidney shaped pool adjacent to the beach and main dining / reception area.

The hotel has just built 3 private beach front bungalows (open August 2022) with plunge pools, direct access to the beach and beautiful sea views.  Great for couples/honeymooners.

All doubles have king-size bed, ensuite, air conditioning and balcony/terrace, where you can enjoy your morning coffee and an amazing garden view. All the standard double rooms are located on the ground floor of the hotel.  The standard double ocean views are identical but located on the first floor thus with more far reaching views.  The larger ocean view suites offer true space and comfort with larger windows providing fabulous sea views from your bedside.  Also available the honeymoon villa for those seeking a little more privacy.

The gardens have been planted beautifully and lead down to a fantastic pool and main area. The beach here is very beautiful the hotel supplies reef shoes for walking at low tide which is fun spotting all the sea creatures.  There are several other activities available on site including yoga, bicycle hire, diving at Mnemba just opposite and visits to Stone Town and Jozani Forest.

Safari&Beach visited the property recently and we were very impressed with its eco credentials and its real attention to detail.  A great value property without compromising on luxury.
