Ongava Tented Camp is tucked into a hidden valley at the foot of a dolomite hill in the private Ongava Game Reserve. This camp offers private luxury, excellent guiding, great food and a wildlife experience without the crowds.
Ongava Tented Camp accommodates 16 guests in eight large, comfortable, Meru-style tents all with en suite facilities, open air showers and private verandas. The family unit sleeps four.
The main area, built of stone, canvas and thatch, fronts onto a much-frequented waterhole.
Activities at this comfortable camp typically take place around the main area with its relaxing bar and swimming pool, watching the wildlife that comes to drink at the water below.
Game drives take in the plethora of game within the Ogava Reserve. Other possibilities include guided walks, birding and spending time in hides. A special encounter is white rhino tracking.
Activities also include game drives into Etosha where lion, elephant (seasonal), gemsbok, springbok, black rhino, greater kudu and red hartebeest can be seen at numerous waterholes and fringing habitats. Apex predators like leopard, cheetah and spotted hyaena also occur in this area.
