Singita Ebony

The lodge has just reopened after an extensive refurbishment.  Having first opened in 1994 this original lodge stands amongst enormous trees on the banks of the Sand River in the heart of the big cat country.  The styling is very much that of European heritage blended with African hardwoods and thatch and offers a more subtle home from home feel.

The lodge comprises of 12 secluded, super luxurious suites which are the epitome of comfort. Two of these can interlead with one another making it ideal for families. En-suite bathrooms are spacious and well appointed and each has an indoor and out door shower. Floor to ceiling glass doors open out onto wooden decks with private heated plunge pools.

The lodge offers a Bush Spa with various holistic and rejuvinating treatments and these treatments can be offered in the spa, or in your room or on your private deck.

Children of all ages are welcome at Ebony Lodge with various suites being more appropriate for younger and older children – please enquire for more details. Mini Ranger courses will open up a whole new exciting world to young wannabe Game Rangers.

Apart from the open sided 4×4 game drives, guided safari walks (not suitable for children under 12yrs), mountain biking, stargazing safaris, archery, community visits, wine boutique and a singita boutique are all activities or pastimes you can do during the course of your stay.
