Hidden from view, concealed within an old coconut grove bordering the water’s edge, Hotel 20°Sud, the first on the island to offer both the luxury and excellence of a five-star establishment within the dimensions of an attractive, privately run boutique hotel.

This small, intimate hotel comprises 35 bedrooms with the perfect balance of antiques and local furnishings. It is situated in beautiful surroundings, not far from the Pointe aux Canonniers, at the mouth of the Grand Baie.

Hotel 20°Sud has 29 rooms and 6 suites, some of which are less than 10m from the beach. They are divided into four categories: the Charm rooms, the Beachfront rooms, the Suites and the Austral Suites.

All the rooms are air-conditioned and have a beautiful terrace which looks onto the attractive coconut grove bordering the sea.  The rooms are tastefully furnished and equipped with queen-size bed, safe, plasma extra flat screen television, multimedia system, telephone and free access to WIFI internet. A minibar and tea and coffee making facilities are at your disposal. The Beachfront rooms, the Suites and the Austral Suites are equipped with a Nespresso® machine and Ipod/Iphone® docks.  Bathrooms have old style baths, separate shower and twin wash basins.  Suites have either an outdoor hot tub or a small private swimming pool.  All the bedrooms are different adding to the uniqueness and authenticity of this hotel.

The kitchen is directed by the talented Mauritian chef, Manolito Grosset, who will cook locally caught fish and produce from the island or mainland.  For the more adventurous, you can also savour the six-course lobster menu, or a sushi menu prepared from the catch of the day. On request only.  At the hotel: The hotel’s restaurant is situated just 10 metres from the sea.  Several different dining areas are at your disposal: at the edge of the main swimming pool, inside or on the seashore.  To make you feel at home, your breakfast is available at anytime. And everyday a “4 o’clock tea or coffee” is served, free of charge, accompanied by a delicious freshly-made homemade cake. There is also the Lady Lisbeth, a 17m vintage boat , which every evening sets sail on a gastronomic cruise around the bay and offers dining for 8 people.

20 Degrees Sud offers a lovely spa and plenty of leisure activities on site and around the island and staff will be happy to arrange these for you on arrival.
