This pristine wildlife area offers some of the finest experiences in the African bushveld. You have two lodges to chose from, both of which offer the finest luxury, peaceful settings and intimate experiences.

JACI’S SAFARI LODGE

Jaci’s Safari Lodge, more suitable to families, offers you a more earthly location with 8 luxury tent-style rooms which enjoy views from their balconies to the stream where animals come down to drink.

The 8 luxurious rooms decorated with vibrant colours and African textures all feature large bath rooms with large twin share mosaic bath tubs, outdoor showers and private decks.  All rooms have open beamed thatch roofs, low stone walls and canvas panels for that ‘Out of Africa’ feel and underfloor heating make for a unqiue and luxurious African safari experience.

For families looking for a more intimate experience you should look no further than the Nare Suite which can accomodate 6 guests  or the Safari Suite which accommodates up to 8 guests. Each of these suites come with private deck, lounge area, personal dining and private pool as well as you enjoying your own personal and private game ranger and vehicle whilst on safari. This means you can game drive at a pace and style which suits the younger children.
JACI’S TREE LODGE

At Jaci’s Tree Lodge, perched high up in the trees on wooden stilts, you can relax in one of eight expansive tree houses built on the edge of the of the Marico River and look out over the tree canopy.  The rooms are linked by wooden walkways.  This is ideal for honeymooners and couples who seek romance and wish to escape into the bush canopy.

Rooms are made from Rosewood and thatch and offer king size beds, stone baths, outdoor showers and incredible views.

All rooms are equipped with air-conditioning, fans and heaters to ensure your comfort during all seasons.

What makes Jaci’s so appealing to families is not just the fact that you’re in a malaria free reserve, but specifically it’s their outstanding approach to the taking care of children and teaching them about the bush. Jaci’s has for a long time set the standard for offering a fantastic allround safari experience for families.

The field guides at Jaci’s will focus on the “Top 10” instead of just the Big Five, so they get to enjoy sightings of the Big Five (lion, leopard, buffalo, rhino and elephant) , but also hippo, giraffe, the endangered wild dog, brown and spotted hyena as well as cheetah.

Children under 6 years of age can be specially accommodated with their  own ‘jungle drive’ on request and at additional cost. The ‘jungle drive’ is educational, informative and deliberately shorter to keep younger children engaged.  Other entertainments options include a games room and swimming pool.
