Chobe Chilwero

Chobe Chilwero lodge is situated above the Chobe River on the border of Chobe National Park and offers unparalleled panoramic views across the islands and flood plains as far as Namibia.

Chobe Chilwero is a luxurious riverside retreat in the heart of the bush, with all of the facilities of a larger resort.

The 15 guest cottages are very spacious and comfortable. Each unit has its own ensuite bathroom with a modern bath, indoor and outdoor showers, private garden with hammock, private balcony, mosquito nets, ceiling fans, air-conditioning, hairdryer, minibar as well as an in-room safe.

The main public area includes a lounge and dining room, which are linked to outdoor viewing patios which command fabulous views over the Chobe River. A wine cellar is temperature controlled and houses a large variety of South African wines.

The lodge also boasts a split-level swimming pool, library, curio shop and a communications centre, which offers telephone, fax and internet access. Electricity, 230 volts, is permanently supplied.

Chobe Chilwero has a full-service spa offering a range of treatments and rituals of the highest quality to relax, restore and revitalise guests. Spa facilities include an indoor spa bath, Vichy showers, hydrotherapy, plunge pool, relaxation area and private treatment rooms – one of which is elevated in the treetops.

Activites include game drives during the day time. There is also a sundowner cruise on the Chobe River where riverboats take guests up close to elephants as they wade in the river or near to the buffalo who gather on its shores.
