Coco de Mer Hotelis one of our favourite independently owned hotels in the Seychelles. The welcome is warm, the food is always good and nothing is too much trouble. Located on the western sunset coast of Praslin it is very close to the Valle de Mai Nature Reserve, famous for the evocative Coco de Mer.
There are 40 rooms located along the beach, all offering plenty of space, good decoration and excellent value. These would be a very comfortable base for a week-long stay. For more privacy, the 12 Black Parrott Suites are located away from the main hotel on a hillside, with a separate pool, bar and wonderful panoramic views.
There are two restaurants and two bars with dining tending to be on a table d’hote basis. Al fresco lunches are terribly relaxed, while evenings tend to be a little more formal.
Praslin is a great place to be based as you can easily explore by bicycle or on a guided tour. It is very popular to get on the water to explore nearby islands.
We recommend Coco de Mer for a week after a safari. The rooms here are brilliant value for money and suitable for couples or families happy to keep things low key.
