10 Night Beach and Safari Holidays
Ten nights is a fantastic length for a safari and beach holiday. You’ve got time to explore and see the sights as well as the opportunity to relax afterwards, without using up too much of your holiday allowance. Win-win.
10 NIGHT SAFARI AND BEACH HOLIDAY IDEAS
No matter where you want to go in Africa, there’s an itinerary for you. That’s because we tailor all of our safari and beach packages to you – we have sample itineraries, but if you want something specific, we can create exactly what you’re looking for.
So, if you want to combine Tanzania and Zanzibar, Kenya and Mauritius, or Botswana and Zambia, you can. If you want all safari, all beach, or any combination of the two, you can do that too. We will custom-design an itinerary that fits your needs, so you spend your 10 days doing exactly what you want.
Classic Kenya Safari and Beach holidays: Masai Mara with Kenya Coast or Zanzibar. Excellent travel infrastructure – all price categories – ideal for families and honeymooners.
SEE MORE ON A 10-NIGHT SAFARI HOLIDAY
When you decide to extend your trip, going away for 10 nights rather than a week, you open up more options. Explore more than one safari destination – if your trip is a little longer, you can take in more than one location and still have time for a beach break. In Kenya, you could visit Amboseli and the Masai Mara. In Tanzania, combine the Serengeti with Ngorongoro, or Tarangire. You have time to see more of your country of choice, without skipping the relaxation at the end. Of course, if you decided you didn’t want to go to the beach, a 10-night safari gives you chance to add even more locations to your trip. Samburu in Kenya or Kilimanjaro in Tanzania, perhaps.

WHAT TO DO ON A 10-NIGHT SAFARI
When you spend a few days longer on your safari, you have the opportunity to do a little more. Many lodges and camps have activities like walking safaris and night drives, as well as cultural excursions, that you might want to participate in. You can really make the most of things with your extra time. You could also add an exciting experience, such as a hot air balloon ride, to your safari. Seeing the sun rise over the plains and watching the animals from above – there’s nothing quite like it.
BENEFITS OF A 10 NIGHT HOLIDAY
As well as being able to see more while you’re away, there are plenty of reasons 10 night beach and safari holidays are fantastic. If you time a 10 or 11 night holiday just right, you can use only 6 days’ worth of annual leave – even less if you include bank holidays – so you get a longer trip without using up all of your holiday allowance. A week-long break can be great, but adding an extra few days gives you longer to really get out of work mode and let your mind escape the office. You won’t be packing up to come home before you’ve even fully relaxed.
One university found that we need an average of 6 days to reduce work-related stress, so a 10 day break is a great way to fully release all that tension and still have time to enjoy relaxing. If you’re not a fan of flying, a longer break makes the journey feel more justified. While jet lag isn’t usually an issue with Africa – the time difference isn’t huge – travelling itself is rather tiring. Staying for 10 nights makes that flight worth it.
