A gem of a spot, Upendo is a very cool little beach lodge on a fantastic stretch of beach at Paje. Think barefoot, relax and chill and you are entering the Upendo way.
Upendo lies right on a stunning stretch of beach so this really is beach boutique at it’s best.
There are two one bedroom villas with rooftop plunge pools and sun decks plus a three bedroom beach house, all with beach frontage. In the middle lies a very contemporary bar and restaurant with chill out areas and large main pool.
The hotel is directly opposite the famous Rock restaurant a must visit lunch spot.
This is a good fun spot but perhaps its vibe lends itself to a more grown up crowd rather than families – although the adjacent private houses could be a good option for families and/or groups.
