The Seyyida

The Seyyida is an elegant 17-room boutique hotel located in the heart of the World Heritage Site of Stonetown – Zanzibar. The hotel is situated next to the Palace Museum – formerly the residence
of the Zanzibari Royal Family – and is just a short walk from the most celebrated Stonetown monuments such as the Forodhani Garden, House of Wonder and the Old Fort.

The Seyyida nestled in the heart of the world heritage site of the Old stone town is a unique story of arches, old walls and courtyard gardens that take you on a journey back in time. The exquisite charm of the indoor garden is further accentuated by the perfume of plants such as Jasmine, wild basil, queen of the night and the most famous of Zanzibar flowers the Kilua herself.

The name Seyyida is derived from the Arabic word meaning princess, lady of the manor. The hotel is a charismatic and gracious model of femininity that mixes the beauty of the old with the modern. The title is reflected throughout the hotel with exotic indoor gardens and stunning panoramic views of both the Stone Town and the Ocean front.
