Rufiji River Camp is a charming camp located on the banks of the Rufiji river, at a point where the ample and tranquil river is animated by many different species of animals.
Fourteen tents face the sunset with comfortable beds, walled en-suite facilities, mosquito netting and all of the comfortable equipment of a lodge.
Each tent is equipped with private bathroom and a private veranda facing the river. The veranda roofs are made of local straw (makuti) that creates the perfect place for reading, writing or just resting in the shade.
There are also three super Suites at the lodge, all overlooking the Rufiji river with spacious decks complete with plunge pools, two bedrooms and two bathrooms. These are some of the best family accommodations in this region, and great value.
The camp has a central dining, lounge and bar area shaded by makuti roof overlooking the Rufiji River. There is also an uncovered area with a campfire pit and deckchairs – the perfect place to relax in the early evening.
