Lux Le Morne is one of our favourite luxury resorts in Mauritius. The location here is perfection; the hotel is sandwiched between a stunning white sandy beach, the turquoise ocean, lush gardens and the imposing Le Morne Peak. It is a tropical paradise on the peaceful sunset side of Mauritius.
Lux Le Morne is one of our favourite luxury resorts in Mauritius. The location here is perfection; the hotel is sandwiched between a stunning white sandy beach, the turquoise ocean, lush gardens and the imposing Le Morne Peak. It is a tropical paradise on the peaceful sunset side of Mauritius.
The resort itself is also wonderful, having been thoughtfully designed in a Mauritian Asian style with clean lines, chalet style accommodation and cool contemporary décor. Lux have added their usual quirky and cool touches, with things like Café Lux where you can get amazing coffee with something sweet, the old style colonial phone boxes allowing free phone calls home, or the regular movie nights where a big screen is set up on the beach so you can watch a classic on the beach under the stars. Original thinking done very well.
Lux Le Morne has 149 room and suites, all which are close to the beach and most have lovely ocean views.
The dining is excellent at the resort, as it is at all of the Lux hotels. You can enjoy varied dining at a choice of three restaurants.
The Lux Me Spa is fantastic. The range of treatments is extensive and with a hammam, sauna and infinity pool makes for several blissful afternoons.
If keeping active is more your thing, there is complementary windsurfing, pedal boats, kayak, aqua gym, sailing, snorkelling, glass-bottom boat rides or water skiing, or head to gym, play beach volley, table tennis, tennis or yoga. There is even a cinema. There is plenty to keep you busy.
Lux Le Morne is also excellent for children and teens. The children’s club is open daily and offers everything from cooking lessons to beach games, to face painting. For teen’s ‘Studio 21’ keeps older kids and teens busy and social with activities including fishing, kite flying or yoga.
Lux Le Morne is a beautiful and sophisticated beach resort, which we can recommend for a honeymoon, some relaxing beach time, or for a family holiday. It is always high on our wish list.
