Veranda Paul and Virginie

Veranda Paul and Virginie Resort & Spa is a small, romantic resort on the beach.

Named after the island’s legendary lovers, Paul and Virginie, this is a very pretty adult’s only resort which is simply idyllic for a romantic break or honeymoon.  Enjoy the sea breeze and lapping of the Indian Ocean and just relax.

The ethos here is very much about eating good food, enjoying the two swimming pools and the sea, relaxing at the spa and enjoying the island.  It is very laid back and you will be left to enjoy eachother’s company.  The service and quality through out is superb for a three star hotel.

Each of the bedrooms are well equipped and simply furnished, all have sea views, a balcony or terrace.  The Comfort rooms are a little on the ‘cosy’ side, so upgrade to the Superior or spacious Privilege rooms if you are planning to stay for a week or more.

The Seven Colours Spa is always excellent, and while it is only small, offers a great range of relaxing treatments, all tailored to your colour aura.

On the water, you have a great deal of choice, with an aquagym, windsurfing, glass bottom boat, kayaks, pedal boat, snorkeling, sailing dinghies all available without a charge.  There are also tennis courts.  Closeby PADI diving can be arranged, as can waterskiing, fishing, kitesurfing or catamaran excursions.  Golf can be organised locally too.

Veranda Paul and Virginie is our favourite three star standard hotel on Mauritius and if you prefer a beach stay to be low key and romantic, is a brilliant choice.  There are good offers for honeymoon couples and for long stays.
