If there was ever a time to visit the Gorillas in Rwanda or experience the wild landscape of Namibia, now is it.
Namibia and Rwanda both fall into the UK’s travel corridor which means there is no quarantine on your return to the UK. Hoorah! To combine both countries is tricky from a logistics perspective but everything is possible! Both are unique and awesome countries but almost polar opposite from a landscape perspective.
Namibia is desert landscape akin to landing on the moon (apparently), with its western side crashed by the Pacific ocean, clear blue skies and with animals that have evolved to suit.
On it’s own, Namibia is a fabulous holiday with plenty to do over thousands of miles. Self drive is a popular option but equally hopping from park to park is a great way to see this varied country.
Compare that to the mountainous region of the Virungas in Rwanda with deep green forests and misty skies with the odd scattering of mountain gorilla families.
Typical trips to Rwanda might include a day/night in Kigali with a respectful stop at the Genocide Museum with a two to three nights in the Virunga Mountains and a couple of gorilla expeditions. They are pricey but they are worth every penny.
