The Bay Hotel

The Bay Hotel in Camps Bay offers a 5 star luxury hotel practically on the beach of Camps Bay. You donâ??t get a closer position to the beach and it is all about the location.

The hotel is wonderfully designed with 78 rooms and suites and enjoys the unique location of being steps from the beach as well as along a strip of beach café’s, bars and restaurant which makes it excellent fun and one of the best places to hang out for a few days to even a week.

The hotel offers a wide range of facilities such as four hotel swimming pools, Gym, Hair salon, Mint Wellness Spa, tennis and squash facilities and has one of the most recognised restaurant names in the Cape, The Tides Restaurant. Not only that, you have the private Celebration Table, Traders Cigar Bar & Lounge.  The food at The Tides is excellent and there are few better locations than sitting upstairs and enjoying a fine evening meal watching the sun set over the Atlantic horizon.

There are 78 rooms and suites, each of which gaze upon the spectacular views, whether it be facing Table Mountain or the Atlantic Ocean and the beach.  The mountain faing rooms tend to be larger in size and cheaper than the sea facing standard rooms, which lose some space to a small balcony. Most of the rooms have balconies and all have a private entrance lobby area, en-suite bathroom with separate showers, mini bar, safe and rooms either have twin beds or King Size. There are a carefully selected few rooms which can cater for parents sharing with children 8 -12yrs, these rooms being two Club Classic rooms, Premier Mountain View Room and Suite 432 which has a sofa bed. The Luxury rooms will have daybeds for children 8-12 yrs to share.

There are 9 room types : Mountain Rooms enjoy views of Table Mountain and Twelve Apostles. Classic Rooms which are located around the main pool area and each have direct access from a private patio, Club Classic Rooms which are north facing and have views towards Lions Head and partial side sea views. Premier Mountain Rooms are more spacious and enjoy private spa baths and expansive balconies.

The Premier Pool view rooms are also north facing towards Lions Head and some also overlook the pool area. The Premier Sea Rooms have direct sea views from the rooms and enjoy balconies. Listening to the surf at night is blissfull!

Next you have Cabanna rooms whch are ground floor located with low level sea views. The Luxury rooms have spacious sea facing views with private balcony and outdoor spa bath – these are also good for families.

The Suites are all individually designed and styles and have spacious interiors and balconies with spa bath and fabulous sea views.

Last of all is the Penthouse Suite is 160 sqm in size and is one of sheer splendour.

All rooms have airconditioning, heating, ipod stations, DVD players, safes, personal bar, separate shower and baths, hairdryers, staelitte television, telephone and tea/coffee making.
