This private tented camp bordering the Masai Mara is your enclave of luxury in the wildest terrain of Kenya.
This private tented camp bordering the Masai Mara is your enclave of luxury in the wildest terrain of Kenya.
10 exclusive tents and the entire 200km square of Naboisho Conservancy on your doorstep. The conservancy borders the Mara, no fences to inhibit the migration of animals which means you should see the big five and all the other indigenous animals on your check list right here, sometimes within five minutes of the camp. Only vehicles from the properties are allowed in the conservancy, so you see wildlife, not minibuses. The view from the camp is spectacular, the Mara is mostly flat plains but we are elevated on a rocky escarpment so you can see for miles.
The size of the tents is very generous. Big dome tents with their own decks and far reaching views.
The 8 Nina Tents are ideal for couples. The high dome centres over a large bed with surrounding opening panels so, from the comfort of your pillow, you can watch the dawn break in panorama. The rear section of the tent houses your ensuite bathroom and dressing area and in front of the tent is a large wooden deck where you can enjoy private dining, sunbathing and star gazing. The tents are huge and beautiful and you’ll forget that there are any other structures nearby, so well hidden is each tent.
The Simba Suite is a self contained pent-house in the bush with a private driveway. Complete with kitchen, dining room, living area which connects two enormous double bedrooms, both ensuite, you could house your family here while on safari or just sprawl out in the extensive luxury of a private suite all by yourself. The Cui Suite offers greater individual privacy with two ensuite double bedrooms separated by the central living space. This suite is ideal for families or friends travelling together who would also like some privacy within the group.
The library tent is the main central tent. This is the quintessential safari scene that has remained largely unchanged for a century or more – no modern technological interruptions of digital noise or flashing images. Find yourself in the warm glow of the paraffin lanterns and candle-light, the hazy bush noises singing in the background as you survey the Koyaki plains. Enjoy the collection of books or drinks from the bar at any time of day or night.
Descend from the Library to the low deck with fabulous new infinity pool. From this ledge you have an excellent view of the waterhole. In the evenings sit by the fire and listen the wildlife orchestra around and the starry skies. Many warm evenings have been whiled away here in canvas safari chairs.
This is bush life at its most glamourous – with fine cuisine, luxury surroundings and personal service that allows you to unwind and really get away from it all.

We had a fantastic time – by breaking the holiday into plenty of different stages, it felt more like a month’s holiday, rather than just 2 weeks. Lewa Safari Camp was very luxurious and comfortable.
