A super holiday for witnessing the best of East Africa’s underwater wildlife. Enjoy the beach life, relaxed island culture and diving on Zanzibar, then fly to the less travelled shores of Mafia for pristine reefs and the chance to snorkel with Whale Sharks.
On arrival into Zanzibar, you will be met and transferred to your lodge.
Stay 5 nights at Sunshine Marine Lodge in a Sunshine Suite on Half Board.
Sunshine Marine Lodge is located overlooking the Mnemba Atoll with its own Dive Point PADI affiliated Dive Centre. Snorkelling and diving can be arranged from the lodge and the training available is excellent.
You will be picked up from your lodge and driven to Zanzibar airport where you will catch your short scenic flight to Mafia Island. Your driver from Chole Mjini will meet you at the airport.
Stay 5 nights in a Tree House on a Full Board Basis.
Between October and March, your lodge can arrange trips for you to snorkel with Whale Sharks, a genuine bucket list experience. Three trips out is recommended to make the most of the encounter.
Snorkelling and diving in Chole Bay and beyond is also excellent.
You will picked up and driven back to the airport in good time for your onward flight
A bucket list trip for keen snorkelers and/or divers whether they be beginner or expert with stunning marine distractions. Whale sharks sightings are common around Mafia between November and April.
