This is a short three night itinerary which gives you the chance to experience one of the most extraordinary animal encounters in Africa – coming face to face with a wild mountain gorilla. This never to be forgotten experience requires travelling to one of the key locations in the Virunga Mountains which straddle Rwanda, Uganda and DR Congo.
Starting and finishing in Kigali, this itinerary can easily extended to Uganda for further trekking, or could be added onto a beach stay in Kenya or Zanzibar, or on to a more traditional safari in Kenya or Tanzania. Everything is possible.
Enjoy a relaxed breakfast at your hotel before you meet your guide and depart Kigali on the wonderfully scenic road to the Virunga Mountains and Volcanoes National Park.
Overnight at Five Volcanoes Boutique Hotel, staying in a Deluxe Room on Full Board.
Get to bed early in anticipation for your early trekking in the morning.
