From late July through to October, the renowned Masai Mara plays host to the incredible Wildebeest Migration, who come to feast on the nutrient-rich grasses on the plains of the Masai Mara and surrounding conservancies. Big 5 game viewing at it’s best plus spectacular and dramatic viewing of these incredible herds of wildebeest and zebra.
This trip is quality – we have chosen a beautiful tented camp in the Mara North Conservancy, where the terrain is varied and river systems make for exciting game viewing. This exclusive private concession area is just outside the main Masai Mara Reserve, so still allows for authentic safari away from the crowds. Complete your holiday with a few days beside the Indian Ocean in super little beach hotel.
You will be picked up from Sheraton and driven across town to Nairobi Wilson airport for your short flight to the Mara. You will be met at the airstrip and you can gently game drive to camp, arriving in time for lunch.
Stay 3 nights at Kicheche Mara Camp. This is one of our favourite camps because its location is beautiful and the wildlife is incredible here, it’s everywhere! This authentic camp puts you in the heart of the action and is ideal for an exciting first time safari, or for seasoned safari experts.
Morning and Afternoon/ evening shared game drives as well as guided walks with their expert game rangers. Meals and house drinks are also included.
This trip does the migration in the Masai Mara properly, away from the circus in the main reserve where a more relaxed, authentic safari is still possible.
