Porini Rhino Camp is a proper authentic tented safari camp in the exclusive Ol Pejeta Conservancy, a huge 90,000 acre wilderness that reach from the Abardares to Mount Kenya. The reserve is home to all of the Big 5, but we suggest a few nights here to enjoy the extraordinary number of both Black and White Rhino in the region, plus also if you want to get out of your vehicle, for bush walks, cycling or horse riding.
The camp itself is in a quiet valley, away from other activities and benefits from its own hide, which is novel in the area and if you are lucky, may gift you some fantastic photography.
The camp has excellent eco credentials and offers just 8 tents including a family tent. All are traditional safari tents, pleasantly furnished and with safari showers plus a flush loo. This is nothing fancy, but very comfortable for a few nights. As with all Porini Camps, the food is hearty and delicious and the team here are passionate about their camp and good hosts.
Highly recommended to combine with Porini Lion Camp or Porini Mara Camp.
